NOVEMBER UPDATE

Because of the cost of playing a competitive schedule and the lack of backers , Jeff has had to find a part-time job but, will continue to play in some local 1&2 day events. The goal is to find sponsors/backers in time to get Jeff back out playing on the Hooter's or Egolf Tour by the beginning of 2010.
So far in November, Jeff has played in 11 events that have included a 68(-4)2nd, 70(-2)1st, 73(+1)T14, 72(E) T3 and a 70(-1)T3. He hopes to continue his goal to become a quality tour player, but will need financial help to continue.

SEPTEMBER TO OCTOBER UPDATE

During the last 2 weeks of September, Jeff played in the last 2 Hooter's Pro Series Events. In the Kandy Waters/ Wounded Warriors Classic at Fort Gordon, Ga, Jeff's 2 even par rounds (72-72) left him 1 shot outside the cut line. Jeff was selected the day before the event to play in a 2 man event with a Purple Heart veteran. From Georgia he played in the Capital Chevrolet Classic, where he made the cut shooting 71-69-70-73 (-5) T44. Q SCHOOL ENDS FOR JEFF

A ball that went into a tree stump on 11 and a 3 putt on 16 were unfortunate mishaps that ended Jeff's chances on advancing to 1st stage of Q-School. After 3 days of solid play, Jeff missed some greens and par putts on his front 9 and shot an unexpected 4 over 40. Aside from the his problems on 11 & 16, Jeff made 4 birdies including a shot to 8" on the 230yd par 3 12th and another shot to about a foot on the 146yd par 3 14th. This along with a birdie on 10 and 18 gave him hope, but this round that included 4 birdies, 6 bogies and 8 pars. Jeff' s 4 day total of +1 had him miss the cut by only 1 shot.

This weeks stats included 41/56 Fairways Hit, 56/72 Greens in Regulation, 128 Putts. 15 Birdies,14 Bogies, 1 Double Bogie and 42 Pars.

Jeff is on his way to play in the Hooter's Event in Ft. Gordon, GA

BEFORE Q-SCHOOL

August and the 1st week of September was frustrating for Jeff . He played in 3 one day Moonlight Tour events in which he had a 1st 67(-5), a T1 70(-2) and a T20 71 (-1) during the first 2 weeks of August. Jeff then left to play in 1 EGolf/Tarheel Tour event in North Carolina 77(+6)-70(-1) +5MC and 2 Hooter's Pro Series Events. The first in Georgia 72(E)-73(+1) +1MC then to Alabama the first week of September 75(+3)-73(+1)MC by 2. Jeff returned home and in another Moonlight Event he had 6 birdies but an 8 on a par 3 put him out of the money. Jeff has been hitting the ball well, unfortunately a bad hole in each of the previous events and a cold putter has hurt his rounds. Jeff decided to take a couple of days off from golf and then get ready for Q-School.
